G.S.R. 42(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (I) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further imendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 171/70-Central Excises, dated the 21st November, 1970, namely:—

In the Table annexed to the said notification, in serial No. 14 relating to ''Cotton fabrics", in sub-item (b) of item (i) under calumn 4, for the words "bed- covers, bed-sheets and pillow covers", the words "bod-covers and bed- sheets" shall be substituted.
