NOTIFICATION
CENTRAL EXCISES
New Delhi, the 1st March 1975
G.S.R. 138(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) and in supersession of the noti- fication of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 10/75-Central Excises, dated the 1st February, 1975 the Central Government hereby fixes a tariff value of Three hundred and Thirty rupees per quintal for sugar falling under sub-item (1) of Item No. 1 of the First Schedule to the said Act and chargeable with duty ad valorem.
Provided that nothing contained in this notification shall apply to sugar required by the Central Government to be sold under clause (f) of sub-section (2) of Section 3, of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955).

VI, dated the 1st lanuary, 1975 published as G.S.R. 1(E) on pages 1 and 2 in the Gazette of India Extraordinary Part II—Section 3—Sub- section (i) dated the 1st January, 1975, the following corrections are to be made:—
On page 2, under column 3 of the schedule,—
(1) against serial No. 8 for the figure "80.10" read the figure "8010"; (2) against serial No. 9 for the figure "36.90" read the figure "3690".
