MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM AND CHEMICALS
ORDER
New Delhi, the 15th March, 1975
G.S.R. 149(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order to amend the Paraffin Wax (Supply, Distribution and Price Fixation) Order, 1972, namely:—
1. (1) This Order may be called the Paraffin Wax (Supply, Distribution and Price Fixation) Amendment Order, 1975.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazelle. 2. In the Paraffin Wax (Supply, Distribution and Price Fixation) Order, 1972 (hereinafter referred to as the said Order), clause 5 shall be renumbered as sub-clause (1) thereof and after sub-clause (1) as so renumbered, the following sub-clause shall be inserted, namely:— "(2) While issuing or refusing to issue an allotment order under sub-clause (1) the competent authority shall have due regard to—
(a) the availability of paraffin wax and the demand for the same; (b) the purpose for which paraffin wax is required: (c) the requirements of the persons who are actual users of parafin wax; (d) the need for ensuring supplies to priority sectors such as defence purposes, government requirements and export;
(e) the necessity to ensure availability of candles during important festival period or at other times depending upon local conditions:
