New Delhi the 28th May 1975

G.S.R. 304(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), read with sub-rule (1), and the first proviso to sub-rule (2), of rule 4 of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, the Central Government, consultation with the Government of Gujarat, hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Indian Administrative Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1955, namely:-

1. (1) These regulations may be called the Indian Administrative Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) XIV the Amendment Regulations, 1975.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Schedule to the Indian Administrative Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regu- lations, 1955, for the heading "Gujarat" and the entries occurring thereunder, the following shall be substituted, namely :—

"Gujarat"

G.S.R. 305 (E) .—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951) read with rule II of the Indian Administrative Service (Pay) RuleSj I954J the Central Government, in consultation with the Government of Gujarat, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Adminis- trative Service (Pay) Rules, 1954, namely :—

1. (1) These rules may be called the Indian Administrative Service (Pay) Xth Amendment Rules, 1975.

(2) They shall come'into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Indian Administrative Service (Pay) Rules, 1954,—

(a) In 'Schedule III—A—Posts carrying pay above the time scale in the Indian Adminis- trative Service under the State Governments' in the Table, for the entry "Gujarat" occurring in the first column and the corresponding entries in the second and third columns, the following shall be substituted, namely :—

"Gujarat

Chief Secretary to Government . 3,500. Additional Chief Secretary to Government . 3,000. Secretary to Government . . . 2500—125/2—2750. Special Secretary to Government . 2500—125/2—2750. Development Commissioner . . . 2500—125/2—2750. Industries Commissioner . . . 2500—125/2—2750. Commissioner of Sales Tax . . . 2500—125/2—2750.

Area Development Commissioner for Ukai . 2500—125/2—2750, Area Development Commissioner for Kadana 2500—125/2—2750."

(b) In 'Schedule III—B—Posts carrying pay in the senior scale of the Indian Adminis- trative Service under the State Governments (including posts carrying Bpecial pay in addition to pay in the time scale)", in the Table, for the entry " Gujarat ' occurring in the flrBt column and the corresponding entries in the second column, the following ehall be substituted, namely:—

"Gujarat
