NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 15th July 1975
3.O. 352(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (9) of sector 5A of the Companies (Temporary Restrictions on Dividends) Act, 1974 (35 of 1974), the Central Govern- ment hereby makes the following rules, namely:—
1. Short title and commencement—(1) These rules may be called the Companies (Temporary Restrictions on Dividends) Warrant Rules, 1975.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2, Definitions.—In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,—
(a) 'Act' means the Companies (Temporary Restrictions on Dividends) Act, 1974 (35 of 1974);
(b) 'Warrant' means a warrant or a cheque authorising payment of dividend declared by the company in terms of the provisions of the Act;
(c) 'Form' means the form specified in the Schedule to these rules.

Form In which dividend warrant shall be Issued.—Every company to which this Act applies and which dcclurts, out of its profits for ai.y final cial year, divider d. cxceec'irg, in the aggregate, its distributable profits for that financial year, shall, or. ard from the 1st day of March, 1975, issue dividend warrants in resptct of immediate dividend ard deferred dividends in the form specified, in the Schedule to these rules-
Provided that no company shall incur any liabilily for punishment for the issue, before the commencement of these rules, of any dividend warrot t in a form other than the form specified in the Schedule to these rules.
