NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi , the 22nd July 1975
S.O. 369 ( E ) . Whereas the President has by a notification published in the Gazette of India, on 22nd July , 1975 , called upon the elected members of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly to clect three members to the Council of States ;
Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 1 ) of section 39 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints with respect to the said election:-
(a) 29 July, 1975 (Tuesday ) , as the last date for making nominations ;
(b) 30 July , 1975 (Wednesday) , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
(c) 1 August , 1975 ( Friday ) , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures ;
(d) 8 August , 1975 ( Friday ) , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken; and
(0) 12 August, 1975 (Tuesday) , as the date before which the election shall be com- pleted.

का ० प्रा ० 369 ( अ ) .--यतः , भारत के राजपत्त्र में तारीख 22 जुलाई, 1975 को प्रकाशित त्रिसूचना द्वारा राष्ट्रपति ने गुजरात राज्य की विधान सभा क निर्वाचित सदस्यों से राज्य सभा के लिए तीन सदस्य निर्वाचित करने की अपेक्षा की है ;
श्रतः , अब , लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 39 की उप- धारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, निर्वाचन आयोग उक्त निर्वाचन के बारे में:-
(क ) नामनिर्देशन करने के लिए अन्तिम तारीख 29 जुलाई , 1975 ( मंगलवार) ;
(ख ) नामनिर्देशनों की संवीक्षा की तारीख
30 जुलाई , 1975 ( बुधवार);
(ग ) अथिताएं वापस लेने की अन्तिम तारीख 1 श्रगस्त, 1975 ( शुक्रवार) ;
8 अगस्त, 1975 ( शुक्रवार) ; और ( घ) वह तारीख जिसको यदि आवश्यक हो तो मतदान होगा
12 अगस्त , 1975 ( मंगलवार) (ङ) वह तारीख जिसके पूर्व निर्वाचन समाप्त कर दिया जाएगा

S.O. 370 ( E ) .In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 9.00 A.M. to 12.00 NOON as the hours during which the poll shall , if necessary , be taken at the biennial elections to the Council of States in the State of Gujarat , to be held in pursuance of the notification under section 12 of the said Act , published in the Gazette of India on 22 July , 1975 .

का० ग्रा० 370 ( श्र ) लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 56 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , निर्वाचन आयोग , भारत के राजपत्न में उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 12 के अधीन तारीख 22 जुलाई , 1975 को प्रकाशित राष्ट्रपति की अधिसूचना के अनुसरण में , गुजरात राज्य में राज्य सभा के लिए होनवाले द्विवार्षिक निर्वाचन के लिए 9 बजे पूर्वाह्न से 12 बजे दोपहर तक का समय उस समय के रूप में एतद्वारा नियत करता है , जिसके दौरान यदि आवश्यक हो तो, मतदान होगा ।

S.O. 371 (E ) .In pursuance of the provisions of section 21 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission , in consultation with the Government of Gujarat , hereby designates the Secretary , Gujarat Legislature Secretariat , Gandhinagar as the Returning Officer for the biennial elections to the Council of States to be held in the State of Gujarat in pursuance of the notification under section 12 of the said Act, published in the Gazette of India on the 22 July, 1975.

का० प्रा ० 371 ( श्र ) -लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 की धारा 21 के उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में , निर्वाचन आयोग गुजरात राज्य सरकार के परामर्श से , उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 12 के अधीन भारत के राजपत्त्र में तारीख 22 जुलाई , 1975 को प्रकाशित राष्ट्रपति की अधि- सूचना के अनुसरण में, गुजरात राज्य में राज्य सभा के लिए होने वाले द्विवार्षिक निर्वाचन के लिए सचिव , गुजरात विधान मण्डल सचिवालय , गांधीनगर, को रिटर्निंग श्राफ़िसर के रूप में एतद्वारा पदाभिहित करता है ।

S.O. 372 (E ) . In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 1 ) of scction 22 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints the Deputy Secretary , Gujarat Legislature Secretariat , Gandhinagar , to assist the Returning Officer in the performance of his functions for the biennial election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of the notification under section 12 of the said Act , published in the Gazette of India on 22 July , 1975 .
