The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 31st July , 1975 , and is hereby published for general informa- tion:-
THE KERALA LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY ( EXTENSION OF DURATION ) ACT , 1975
No. 33 OF 1975
[31st July , 1975 ]
An Act to provide for the extension of the duration of the present Legislative Assembly of the State of Kerala .
BE it enacted by Parliament in the Twenty - sixth Year of the Republic ofIndia as follows: -
Short title .
1. This Act may be called the Kerala Legislative Assembly ( Exten- sion of Duration ) Act , 1975.
2. The period of five years [ being the period for which the Legislative Assembly of a State may , under clause ( 1 ) of article 172 of the Constitu- tion, continue from the date appointed for its first meeting ] in relation to the present Legislative Assembly of the State of Kerala shall , while the Proclamations of Emergency issued on the 3rd day of December , 1971 and on the 25th day of June , 1975 , are both in operation , be extended for a period of six months .
Exten- sion of duration of the present Kerala Legisla- tive Assembly .
