SUBJECT —Imports through Air India/Indian Airline.

No. 92-ITC(PN)/75.—Attention is invited to the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 61-ITC(PN)/75 dated the 4th July, 1975 pertaining to the Imports through Air India/ Indian Airlines against REP licences during 1975-76.

2. On a review of the position it has been decided that the facilities provided in the said Public Notice will also apply to 'Actual User' licences issued for import of raw materials/components/spares and import licences for capital goods/H.E.P. issued against free foreign exchange (General Currency Area) only. In such cases, however, the amount of freight will be debited to the licences concerned but such debit will be made only to the extent of the likely element of sea freight which, on an average, will be taken at 20 per cent of the price of the imported goods and the difference between the air freight and the sea freight will not be debited to the import licence, Other conditions as stipulated in the aforesaid Public Notice dated 4th July, 1975 will apply.
