IMPORT TRADE CONTROL
New Delhi , the 27th September 1975
SUBJECT .- Import Policy for Newsprint-Printing and Writing Paper ( exclud- ing laid marked paper ) which contains mechanical wood pulp amounting to not less than 70 per cent of the fibre contents-S. No. (44/ V) for the year April , 1975- March , 1976 .
No. 102 - ITC ( PN ) /75.-Attention is invited to the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 34 - ITC ( PN ) / 75 , dated the 19th May , 1975 , on the subject mentioned above .
2. Remarks V ( a ) to ( d ) in Annexure I to the aforesaid Public Notice may be deemed to have been substituted by revised Remarks V ( a ) to ( d ) as given in the Annexure to this Public Notice .
ANNEXURE
Remark .-V ( a ) Newspapers / periodicals will be allowed newsprint to meet their full requirements in 1975-76.
V ( b ) The initial entitlement of a daily newspaper will be worked out in 1974-75 , in- on the basis of the consumption of newsprint creased by twenty per cent

its In the casc of a periodical , this will be worked out on consumption of newsprint , or other paper , or both , in 1974-75 , increased by twenty per cent .
In the case of other consumers mentioned in Remark III above the entitlement will be determined on the basis of consumption of newsprint in 1974-75 . or on the merits of each case .
V ( c ) Newspapers / periodicals which consume newsprint in excess of their entitlement , worked out on the basis given in Remark V ( b ) above , during and before the close of 1975-76 will be given ad- ditional allotments , provided evidence ( Chartered Accountant's certificate, etc. ) is furnished regarding the average circulation , average page area and number of pages already printed , etc. Requests for additional allotments should be made before the close of the licensing period 1975-76 .
V( d) In the case of newspapers /periodicals whose circulation has been assessed lower than the claimed circulation for 1973 or 1974, the entitlement for newsprint will be calculated on the basis of the assessed circulation .

विषय.--श्रप्रैल, 1975--मार्च , 1976 वर्ष के लिए अखबारी कागज मुद्रण तथा लेखन कागज ( रेखित कागज को छोड़कर ) जिसमें मशीनी काष्ठ लुगदी के रेशे की मात्रा 70 प्रतिशत से कम न हो क्रम संख्या ( 44/5 ) के लिए श्रायात नीति ।
सं० 102 - श्राई ० टी ०सी० पी० एन ० )/ 75- उपर्युक्त विषय पर वाणिज्य मंत्रालय की सार्वजनिक सूचना संख्या 34 - श्राईटीसी ( पी एन ) / 75 , दिनांक, 19 मई , 1975 की ओर ध्यान आकृष्ट किया जाता है ।
पूर्वोक्त मार्वजनिक सूचना के अनुबंध 1 में 5 ( क ) से ( घ) तक की अभ्युक्तियां इस सार्वजत्तिक सूचना के अनुबंध में दी गई 5 ( क ) से ( घ ) तक की परिशोधित अभ्युक्तियों द्वारा प्रतिस्थापित की गई समझी जाएं ।
अनुबंध
अभ्युक्ति.-5 ( क ) समाचारपत्त्रो/ पत्रिकाथों को 1975-76 में उनकी मारी आवश्यकताए पूर्ण करने के लिए अखबारी कागज की अनुमति दी जाएगी ।
5 ( ख ) दैनिक समाचारपत्र की आरम्भिक हकदारी 1974-75 में श्रखबारी कागज की खपत के आधार पर 20 प्रतिशत बढ़ाकर गिनी जाएगी ।
पत्रिका के मामले में यह हकदारी 1974-75 में उमकी अखबारी कागज, या अन्य कागज, या दोनों की स्वपन के आधार पर 20 प्रतिशन बढ़ा कर गिनी जाएगी ।

उपर्युक्त अभ्युक्ति 3 में उल्लिखित अन्य उपभोक्ताओं के मामले में 1974-75 में अखबारी कागज की खपत के आधार पर या प्रत्येक मामले में पात्रता के श्राधार पर हकदारी का निश्चय किया जाएगा ।
5 ( ग ) जिन समाचारपत्रों/ पत्रिकाओं को अखबारी कागज की खपत 1975-76 के दौगन और 1975-76 की समाप्ति के पहले उपर्युक्त 5 ( ख ) अभ्युक्ति में दिए गए श्राधार पर गिनी गई उनकी हकदारी से अधिक होगी उन्हे अतिरिक्त विंटन दिए जायेंगे बशर्तेकि वे औसत वितरण , श्रौमत पृष्ठ क्षेत्र और पहले मुद्रित पृष्ठों की संख्या आदि के सम्बन्ध में साक्ष्य ( सनदी लेखापाल का प्रमाणपत्त्र आदि ) प्रस्तुत करे । श्रतिरिक्त आवंटनो के लिए आवेदन 1975-76 लाइसेंस अवधि समाप्त होने से पहले करने चाहिएं ।
5 ( घ ) जिन समाचारपत्त्रों/ पत्रिकाओं का वितरण 1973 या 1974 के लिए मांगे गए वितरण से कम आंका गया है तो उनके मामले में अखबारी कागज की हकदारी की गणना आंके गए वितरण के आधार पर की जाएगी ।

SUBJECT . -Export of articles made of Ivory .
No. 39 - ETC ( PN ) /75 . It is notified for the information of the trade that it has been decided by the Government of India that export of articles made of Ivory would be permitted upto 31st December , 1975 , without any licensing formalities .
