ORDER
New Delhi, the 11th October 1975
G.S.R. 542(E)/Ess. Com./Sugarcane.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Older further to amend the Sugarcane (Control) Order, 1966, namely
1. (1) This Order may be called the Sugarcane (Control) Second Amendment Order 1975,
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. In the Sugarcane (Control) Order, 1966, after clause 9, the following clause shall be inserted, namely: —
2316 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY LPAKT H—SEC 3(i)(2) Such person may seize any such accounts, books, registers or other documents if he has reason to believe that a contravention of this Order has been, or is being, or is about to be, committed.
(3) The provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1973) relating to searches and seizure shall, so far as may be, apply to searches and seizures made under this clause.".
