NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 28th October 1975
G.S.R. 545(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), read with sub-rule (1) of rule 9 of the Indian Police Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, the Central Government, in consultation with the Governments of the States concerned and the Union Public Service Commission, hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Indian Police Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955, namely :—
1. (1) These regulations may be called the Indian Police Service (Appointment by Promotion) Amendment Regulations, 1975.
(2) They shall come into force with immediate effect.
2. In the Schedule to the Indian Police Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955, for the entries against Serial No. 6 relating to the State of Jammu & Kashmir in column 3 for the item "Commissioner for Home and Secretary to Government", the following item shall be substituted, namely :—
'Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir'.
