SUBJECT..—Import Trade Control Hand Book of Rules and Procedure, 1975-76—
Import of spare parts by actual users.
No. 119-ITC (PN)/75.—Attention is invited to the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 60-ITC (PN)/75 dated the 4th July, 1975 which contained interalia the proforma of the statement of machinery to be furnished by actual users with their applications for import of spare parts
2. According to the proforma as provided in the said Public Notice the statement showing details of import machinery or indigenous machinery having imported compo- nents for which spare parts are sought to be imported should contain information regarding (i) c.i.f. value of machinery imported before 1970, (ii) c.i.f. value of machinery imported during or after 1970 and (iii) purchase price of indigenous machinery installed. In this connection it is hereby clarified that in inspect of imported machinery, the statement should invariably indicate the country of origin of the machinery apart from his c.i.f. value. It is further clarified that the statement showing details of machinery can be certified cither by a Chartered Engineer or by a Chartered Accountant.
