NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 19th November 1975

S.O. 657(E)/IDRA/75/11.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 29B of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Industrial Development (Department of Industrial Development), No. S.O. 98(E)/IDRA/29B/73/l, dated the 16th February, 1973, namely :—

In Schedule IV to the said notification for Item No. (7), the following item shall be substituted, namely :—

"(7) Distillation or brewing of alcoholic drinks falling under the heading, "26. FERMENTATION INDUSTRIES."2. In pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 29B of the said Act, the Central Government hereby specifics a period of three months from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette as the period after the expiry of which no owner of any industrial undertaking engaged in the manufacture of alcoholic drinks shall carry on the business of such undertaking except under and in accordance with a licence issued in this behalf by the Central Government and in the case of State Governments except under and in accordance with the previous permission of the Central Government [No. l2(187)/Lic.Po1./7 D.
