NOTIFICATION
INSURANCE
New Delhi, the 21st November 1975
S.O. 672 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (6) of section 16 of the General Insurance Business (Nationalisation) Act, 1972 (57 of 1972), the Central Go- vernment hereby makes the following Scheme to amend the General Insurance (Rationalisation of Pay Scales and other Conditions of Service of Officers) Scheme, 1975, published with the noti- fication of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. S.O. 521(E), dated the 17th September, 1975, namely :—
1. This Scheme may be called the General Insurance (Rationalisation of Pay Scales and other Conditions of Service of Officers) Amendment Scheme, 1975.
2, In the General Insurance (Rationalisation of Pay Scales and other Conditions of Service of Officers) Scheme, 1975 (hereinafter referred to as the said Scheme), in paragraph 3—
(a) in clause (m), for the word, brackets and figure "Sub-paragraph (1)", the word,
brackets and figure "sub-paragraph (2)" shall be substituted;
(b) in clause (n), for the word, brackets and figure "sub-paragraph (i)", the word, brackets and figure "sub-paragraph (2)" shall be substituted.

2498 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDlNARY [PART II—3. In paragraph 4 of the said Scheme, in sub-paragraph (3), in clause (a), for the word, bra- ckets and figure "sub-paragraph (1)", the word, brackets and figure "sub-paragraph (2)" shall be substituted.
4. In paragraph 5 of the said Scheme, in sub-paragraph (1), for the words "catcgoriese and such officers", t ic words "categorise such officers" shall be substituted.
5. In paragraph 8 of the said Scheme, in sub-paragraph (1), for tha words "held-whichever JS earlier", the words "held, whichever is ealicr", shall be substituted.
6. In paragraph 10 of the said Scheme, in sub-paragraph (3), for the word 'salary' the word 'pay shall bo substituted.
7. In paragraph 13 of the said Scheme for the words, brackets and figure "in column (7)", in the two places where they occur, the words, brackets and figure " in column (8)" shall be substituted.
8. In the Second Schedule appended to the said Scheme, for the Table below Item II "Dear- noss Allowance'^ the following Table shall be substituted, namely :—
