CUSTOMS

New Delhi, the. 24th November 1975

G.S.R. 563(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that i1 is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts Cellulose Acetate Flakes, falling under Item No, 82(3) of the First Schedule to the Indian Tariff Act, 1934 (32 of 1934), when imported into India for the manufacture of Cellulose Acetate Moulding Granules, from so much of that portion of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the said First Schedule as is in excess of 70 per cent ad valorem.

Provided that the importer, by the execution of a bond in such form and in such sum us may be prescribed by the Assistant Collector of Customs, binds himself to Day, on demand in respect of such quantity of Cellulose Acetate Flakes as is not proved to the satisfaction of the Assistant Collector of Customs to have been used for the aforesaid purpose an amount equal to the difference between duty leviable on such quantity but for the exemption contained herein and that already paid at the time of importation.
