IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

SUBJECT.—Import of E.C. Grade Aluminium.
No. 133-ITC(PN)/75.—In view of the improved availability of E C Grade Aluminium from indigenous sources and with a view to conserving foreign exchange, it has been decided not to allow any further imports of E.C. Grade Aluminium. Accordingly, import licences already issued to actual users, registered exporters and others for the import of E,C, Grade Aluminium shall not be valid for import, except to the extent the shipments have already been made or firm commitments backed by irrevocable letters of credit have been made on or before the date of this Public Notice.
