New Delhi , the 30th December 1975
G.S.R. 596 ( E) . In exercise of the powers conferredby sections to and 74 of the Indian Post Office Act , 1898 (6 of 1898 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules fur- ther to amend the Indian Post Office Rules , 1933 , namely :-
1. ( 1 ) These rules may be called the Indian Post Office ( Tenth Amalment ) R iles , 1975 .
( 2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of January , 1976 .
2. In the Indian Post Office Rules , 1933-
(a) for rule 71 , the following rule shall be substituted , namley :-
" 71. ( 1 ) The sender of a registered article posted in India and addressed to any country belonging to the Universal Postal Union shall be entitled to apply for an advice of delivery at the time of posting by paying a fee , in addition to the postage and registration fee , at the rates indicated below :-

(2) When the sender ing tires about an advice of delivery which he has not received within the normal period , neither a second advice of delivery fee nor the fee prescribed in rule 71 - A for inquires and requests for information shall be collected . " ;
(b) in rule 201 , in sub - rule (4 ) , for the words " at the rate of rupee one for cach irland postal article or at the rate of rupees two and twenty five paise for each foreign postal article to Australia , Japan , Laos , Thailand Newzealand , Korea , Phillippines and Indonesia or at the rate of rupees three for each foreign postal articue to all other foreign countries , to which it relates" , the words " at the rate of rupee оnе for each inland postal article or at the rate of rupees three for each foreign postal article to Australia , Japan , Laos , Thailand , Newzealand , South Korea , Pnilip- pines, the People's Republic of China and Indonesia or at the rate of rupees four for each foreignforeign postal article to all other foreign countries , to which it relates " shall be substituted.

सा ० का ० ति० 596 ( प्र) -भारतीय डाकवर अधिनियम, 1898 ( 1898 का 6) की धारा 10 और 74 द्वारा प्रदत शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए केन्द्रीय सरकार भारतीय डाकबर नियम, 1933 में आगे और संशोधन करने के लिए एतद्वारा निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है , अर्थात्ः-
1. (1) इन नियमों का नाम भारतीय डाकबर ( दसवां संशोधन ) नियम, 1975
होगा,
( 2) वे 1 जनवरी , 1976 को प्रवृत होंगे ।
2. भारतीय डाकवर नियम, 1933 में--
(क) नियम 71 के लिए निम्ननिखित नियम प्रतिस्थापित किया जाए, अर्थात्:-
" 71 ( 1 ) भारत में पोस्ट की गई तथा विश्व डाक संष के किसी भी देश के पते पर भेजी गई पंजीकृत वस्तु का प्रेशर उसे पोस्ट करते समय वितरण संज्ञापन के लिए आवेदन करने का हुकटर होगा और उसे वितरण संज्ञापन THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY

के लिए डाक- भार एवं पंजीकरण शुल्क के अतिरिक्त निम्नलिखित दरों से शुल्क श्रदा करना होगा : -

( 2. ) जब प्रेषक ऐसे वितरण -संज्ञापन के बारे में पूछताछ करता है जो उसको समान्य अवधि के भीतर नहीं मिला है ; तब सूचना के बारे में पूछताछों और निवेदनों की बाबत न तो वितरण- संज्ञापन के लिए दुबारा शुल्क और न नियम 71-क में निर्धारित शुल्क वसूल किया जाएगा । " ,
( 4 ) में,
(ख) नियम 201 में, उप नियम
" प्रत्येक देशीय डाक वस्तु के लिए एक रुपये की दर से अथवा [आस्ट्रेलिया , जापान, नाश्रोस, थाईलैण्ड, न्यूजीलैण्ड , कोरिया, फिलीपीन्स और इण्डोनेशिया को भेजी जाने वाली प्रत्येक विदेश डाक वस्तु के लिए दो रुपये पच्चीस पैसे की दर से अथवा अन्य सभी विदेशों को भेजी जाने वाली प्रत्येक विदेश डाक वस्तु के लिए तीन रुपये की दर से, जिससे वह संबंधित है " शब्दों के स्थान पर" प्रत्येक देशीय डाक वस्तु के लिए एक रुपये की दर से या आस्ट्रेलिया, जापान, लाओस , थाईलैण्ड, न्यजीलैण्ड, उत्तरी कोरिया, फिलीपीन्स , जनवादी चीन गणराज्य तथा इण्डोनेशिया को भेजी जाने वाली प्रत्येक विदेश डाक वस्तु के लिए तीन रुपये की दर से अथवा अन्य सभी विदेशों को भेजी जाने वाली प्रत्येक विदेश डाक वस्तु के लिए चार रुपये की दर से जिससे वह संबंधित है" शब्द प्रतिस्थापित किए जाएं ।
