NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 31st December 1975
S.O. 746(E).—Whereas an accident occurred in the Chasnala Colliery (District Dhanbad in the State of Bihar) on the 27th December, 1975 causing lost of lives;
And whereas the Central Government is of opinion that a formal inquiry into the causes of and circumstances attending the accident ought to be held;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 24 of the Mines Act, 1952 (35 of 1952), the Central Government hereby appoints Justice Ujjal Narain Sinha, retired Chief Justice of the Patna High Court to hold such inquiry.
