G.S.R. 5(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following amend- ments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Depart- ment of Revenue and Insurance) No. 28/75-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1975, namely:—

In the Table annexed to the said notification, against Serial No. 1, in the second proviso, for the figures, letters and words "1st day of January. 1976", the figures, letters and words "1st day of January, 1977" shall be substituted.
