ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA
NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 30th December 1975
S.O. 17(E).—Whereas the Government of Meghalaya have intimated a few alterations in the names and extent of territorial divisions in the State and inadvertent slip or omis- sion, in the description of certain assembly constituencies mentioned in Table B of the Delimitation Commission's Order No. 35 of 8 February, 1975, in respect of the State of Meghalaya;
And whereas the Commission considers it necessary and expedient to make amendments in the description of those constituencies and in the Appendix to the said Order and cor- rect the errors arising from inadvertent slip or omission so as to bring the Order correct and uptodate;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 of the Delimitation Act, 1972, the Election Commission hereby makes the corrections in the said order as follows:—
I—In Table B—Assembly Constituencies—
(i) Under column 2, against II-Jirang, in the description of the extent of the con- stituency, for the word and figure "156-Nongdom", the words and figure "156-Nongdom Thymmai", shall be substituted;
(ii) Under column 2, against 12-Mairang and 13-Nongspung, in the description of the extent of the constituencies, for the figure and word "342-Lawdishit", the figure, brackets and words "342-Lawdishit (Ksehhohmoit)" shall be substi- tuted;

(iv) Under column 2, against 24-Sohryngkham, in the description of the extent of tho constituency, for the figure and words "684-Madan Rynjah", the figure, words and brackets "684-Madan Rynjah (Lapalang) shall bo substituted;
(v) Under column 2, against 26-Nongkrem, in the description of the extent of the constituency, between the entries ''671-Ranghlhbih" and "682-Laitkor", tho entry "674-Umsaw" shall be inserted:
II—In the Note to the Order, for the words and figures "1st day of January, 1975", the words and figures "1st day of August, 1975", shall be substituted.
Ill—In the appendix to the said Order—
(i) In item (5), against serial No, 25, for the existing entry, tho enlry "199- Purdwa Kharpati", shall be substituted;
(ii) In item (6)—
(a) against serial No. 12, for the existing entry, the entry "130-Saiden (Umpyrli) shall be substituted;
(b) against serial No, 13, for the existing entry, the entry "131-Ummawpdang" shall bo substituted;
(c) against serial No. 17, for the existing entry, the entry "136-Nongpob (Station)" shall be substituted;
(iii) In item (7). against serial No, 22, for the existing entry, the entry "550- Dungki-ingdmgkhuti", shall be substituted;
(iv) In item (12),—
(a) against serial No. 33, for the existing entry, the entry "55-Nongmadau (Madanshatsingi)" shall be substituted; and
(b) after the entry against serial No. 43, the serial No. and entry, "44. 6/4/240- Wahpathaw" shall be added.
(v) In item (15) after the entry against serial No. 79, the serial No. and entry "80-Nongshyrkon-rum" shall be added.
