ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th December 1975
S.O. 27(E).—Whereas the Government of Assam have intimated a few alterations in the extent of territorial divisions in line State or inadvertent slip or omission in the description of Certain assembly constituencies mentioned in Table B of the Delimitation Commission's Order No. 36 of 15th February, 1975, in respect of the State of Assam;
And, whereas, the Commission considers it necessary and expedient to make 'amend- ments in the description of those constituencies and in the Appendix to the said Order so as to bring the Order correct and up-to-date;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 of the Delimitation Act, 1972, tine Election Commission hereby makes the corrections in the said Order as follows:—
I. In Table B—Assembly Constituencies—
(i) Under column 2, against 4-Karimganj South, in the description of the extent of the constituency, after the words "excluding", the words "Karimganj town and" shall be inserted;
(ii) Under column 2, against '10. Sonai', in description of the extent of the consti- tuency for the existing entry, the entry "Sonai thana [excluding circle Nos. 32 (Part), 65, 66, Noaligrant in circle No. 54 (Part) and Hill Punjee and forest villages] and circle Nos. 28 to 31 and 35 in Silchar thana and circle No. 58 (Part) in Dholai thana in Silchar sub-division." shall be substituted

Dholad (SC)', in the description of the extent of the constituency for the erittktp entry, the entry "Dholai thana [excluding circle No. 58 (Part)J; circle W S' 66 and Hill Punjee and Forest village* in Sonai thana and circle Noij. %3 26 and Clever House T.E, in Circle No. 27 (Part) and forest village* hi Silchar thana, in Silchar sub-division." shall be substituted;
(fap) Under column 2 against '12-Udharbond', in the description of t&e eitent of the constttuericy for the existing entry, the ."ntry 'Udnarbond pbtitt and circle Nos. 32 (Part) and 33 in Silchar thank and circle N
(v) Under column 2, against '13-Lakhipur', in the description'of the extent of the constituency for the existing entry, the entry "Lakhipur thana (excluding circle Nos. 44, 45 and 46) and Boaligrant in circle No. 54 (Part) in Sonai thana in Silchar subdivision." shall be substituted;
(vi) Under column 2, against 23-Dhubri, in the description of the extent of the constituency, after the word "excluding*, the words "Gauripur town Com- mittee and" shall be inserted;
(vli) Under column 2, against 27-Bilasipara East, in the description of the extent of the constituency, after the word "excluding", the words "Supatgram town Committee and" shall be inserted;
(viii) Under column 2, against '121-Chabua', in the description of the extent of the constituency, after the words 'Chabua Thana', the words "and Ghorbondi (Part) mouza in Tinsukia thana (Part)" shall be inserted;
II. In the Note, for the words and figures '1st day of February, 1975', the words and figures "1st day of August, 1975" shall be substituted! '
III, In the Appendix to the said Order:—
(i) In item (1), after the entry 274. Usharani T.E., the entry "277-Chorgola Valley T.E." shall be inserted;
(ii) In item (2), for the village "39-Mwnpur" read "39-Ilashpur"; (iii) In item (4), for the village "261-Ratanpur Part II" read "261-Ratanpur (Seki- kamshail)";
(iv) In item (14), after the entry '239-Dankinamari', the entry "240-Ktaujrabguri" shall be inserted; and
(v) In item (17)—
(a) the village "47-Gheramari Pt. II" shall be deleted; (b) for the village "82-Kalardiara" read "82-Katarihara"; and (c) after the village '143-Kaltapur', the village "143A-Falimari" shall be inserted. [No. 282/AS/75]
