SUBJECT : Import Policy for the year April, 1975- March , 1976 Amendment of .
No. 3 - ITC (PN)/76.-Attention is invited to the import policy as contained in the Import Trade Control Policy (Red Book Vol . I) for the period April 1975- March 1976. The following amendments shall be made at the appropriate places in the Import Trade Control Policy (Red - Book-Volume I) for the period April , 1975- March , 1976 :

Section V, Appendix 21 . After para 13 , the following entry ay be deemed to have been inserted
" 13 - A . Requests for issue of supplementary licences for import of books covered by List II of this Appendix will be considered from new - comers to meet the specific demand for educational , scientific and technical books from technical institutions in India, on production of satisfactory evidence of the receipt of such orders" .

189 Section V, Appendix 21 . The following entry may be deemed to have been inserted after para 17 .
" 17 -A . All importers of books holding quota and supplementary licences or new comer licences of a value of Rs . 10 lakhs or more in 1974-75 should send to the Ministry of Education (Book Promotion Division ) a copy cach of the indents placed by them on foreign suppliers and invoices for books etc. , imported by them during 1975-76 . The indents and invoices for the period April 1975 to 30th September , 1975 should be sent to the Ministry of Education by 31st January 1976 together with a list of the documents sent . The indents and invoices for the period 1-10-1975 onward should be sent on a quarterly basisbasis along with a list thereof so as to reach the Ministry within the next quarter i.e. , indents ard invoices for the period 1-10-1975 to 31-12-1975 should reach the Miriamy by 31-3-1976, and for the period 1-1-26 10 1-3-76 by 30-6-76 . All importers should ensure that invoices which do not specify the titles actually imported are accomparied with a list clearly indicating the titles , their authors and quantity. "

करने के लिए नए आगंतुकों के प्रार्थना-पत्रों पर भारत के तकनीकी संस्थानों से शैक्षिक , वैज्ञानिक और तकनीकी पुस्तकों की विशिष्ट मांगों को पूरा करने के लिए इस प्रकार के आदेशो की प्राप्ति का संतोषजनक साक्ष्य प्रस्तुत करने पर विचार किया जाएगा । " खंड 5

निम्नलिखित प्रविष्टि को पैरा 17 के बाद जोड़ा गया समझा जाएः--
परिशिष्ट 21 .
i 17-ए पुस्तकों के वे सभी आयातक जिनके पास कोटा और पूरक लाईसेंस या नवागन्तुक लाइसेंस हैं और जिनका मूल्य 1974-75 में 10 लाख या इससे अधिक है , उन्हे चाहिए कि वे शिक्षा मंत्रालय (पुस्तक संवर्धन प्रभाग) को 1975-76 के दौरान उनके द्वारा आयात की गई पुस्तकों श्रादि के लिए विदेशी संभरकों को दिये गए मांगपत्रों एवं बीजकों की एक एक प्रति भेजें । अप्रैल , 1975 से 30 सितम्बर , 1975 तक की अवधि के लिए मांगपत्त्र और बीजक, भेजे गए दस्तावेजों की एक सूची के साथ शिक्षा मंत्रालय को 31 जनवरी , 1976 तक भेजने चाहिए । 1-10 1975 से आगे की अवधि के लिए मांग पत्र और बीजक उनकी एक सूची के साथ त्रैमासिक प्राधार पर भेजने चाहिएं जिससे कि वे अगली तिमाही के भीतर शिक्षा मंत्रालय को पहुंच जाएं अर्थात्1-10-1975- से 30-12-1975 तक की अवधि के लिए मांगपत्र और बीजक 31-3-1976 तक भौर 1-1-1976 तक को अवधि के लिए 30-6-76 तक मंत्रालय को पहुंच जाने चाहिए । सभी प्रायातकों कों यह सुनिश्चित करलेना चाहिए कि जिन बीजको में वास्तव में आयात किए गए शीर्षक निदिष्ट नहीं है वे शीर्षकों , उनके लेखकों और माला को स्पष्ट रूप से निर्दिष्ट करते हुए एक सूची के साथ है ।
