New Delhi , the , 15th January 1976
S.O. 41 (E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Fortfeiture of Property ) Ordinance , 1975 (20 of 1975 ) , the Central Government hereby authorises the officers of the Central Government (being officers not below the rank of a Joint Secretary to the Government ) , specified in column (2 ) of the Table below to perform the functions of the competent authority under the said Ordinance and direct that the said competent authoritics shall perform their functions in respect of the persons specified in the corresponding entries in column (3 ) thereof .

All persons specifidd in sub - section ( 2) of section a of the Smuggllers and Foreign Excgange Manipula- tors (Forfeiture of Property ) Ordinance , 1975 (20 of 1975 ) and who are assessed or are assessable to income - tax in, or who ordinarily reside within, the jurisdiction of the Commissioners of Income- tax with Headqaurters at Amritsar , Bhopal , Bhuba- neshwar , Calcutta , Jaipur , Kanpur , Lucknow, Meerut , New Delhi , Potſala, Patna, Shillong and the Commissioners of Income - taxncome - tax ( Central - 1 ) and (Central - II) with Headquarters at Calcutta and the Commissioner of Income - tax (Central ) with Headquarters at New Delhi .

All persons specified in sub - section (2 ) of section 2 of the Smugglers and Foreign Excharge Manirula- tors (Forfeiture of Property ) Ordinance, 1975 (20 of 1975) and who are assessed or are assessable to income-tax in , or whe ordinarily reside within , the jurisdiction of the Commissionres of Income- tax with Headquarters at Bangalore , Eranakulem, Hyderabadi and Madras and the Commissioner of Income - tax ( Central ) with Headquarters at Madras .

फा ० प्रा ० 41 ( प्र) . केन्द्रीय सरकार , तस्कर और विदेशी मुद्रा छलसाधक ( सम्पत्ति समप- हरण) अध्यादेश , 1975 ( 1975 का 20) की धारा 5 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , नीचे के सारणी के स्तम्भ ( 2 ) में विनिर्दिष्ट केन्द्रीय सरकार के अधिकारियों को ( जो उस सरकार के सयुक्त सचिव की पक्ति से नीचे के अधिकारी नहीं हैं ) , उक्त अध्यादेश के अधीन सक्षम प्राधिकारी के कृत्यों का पालन करने के लिए प्राधिकृत करती है और निदेश करती है कि उक्त सक्षम प्राधिकारी THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY

तस्कर और विदेशी मुद्रा छलसाधक ( सम्पत्ति समपहरण अध्यादेश, 1975 ( 1975 का 20 ) को धारा 2 की उपधारा ( 2 ) में विनिर्दिष्ट सभी व्यक्ति जिन पर अहमदाबाद , बम्बई, नागपुर , पुणे स्थित मुख्यालयों के आय-कर आयुक्तों और बम्बई स्थित मुख्यालय के आय-कर आयुक्त ( केन्द्रीय ) की अधिकारिता में श्राय -कर निर्धारण किया गया है या निर्धारणीय है, या जो उनकी अधिकारिता के भीतर सामान्यतया निवास करते हैं ।
2 श्री आर ० एल ० मल्होत्रा, सक्षम प्राधिकारी जिनका मुख्यालय नई दिल्ली में स्थित होगा ।
तस्कर और विदेशी मुद्रा छलसाधक ( सम्पत्ति समपहरण ) अध्यादेश , 1975 ( 1975 का 20 ) की धारा 2 की उपधारा ( 2 ) में विनिर्दिष्ट सभी व्यक्ति जिन १२ , अमृतसर, भोपाल , भुवनेश्वर , कलकत्ता, जयपुर, कानपुर, लखनऊ, मेरठ, नई दिल्ली , पटियाला , पटना , शिलांग स्थित मुख्यालयों के आयकर आयुषतों और कलकत्ता स्थित मुख्यालय के आय -कर आयुक्त ( केन्द्रीय- I) और ( केन्द्रीय- II ) एवं नई दिल्ली स्थित मुख्यालय के आय -कर आयुक्त ( केन्द्रीय ) की अधिकारिता में आय- कर निर्धारण किया गया है या निर्धारणीय है , या जो उनकी अधिकारिता के भीतर सामान्यतया निवास करते हैं ।
3 श्री वी० एस ० देसिकाचारी, सक्षम प्राधिकारी जिनका मुख्या- लय मद्रास में स्थित होगा ।
तस्कर और विदेशी मुद्रा छलसाधक ( सम्पत्ति समपहरण ) अध्यादेश, 1975 ( 1975 का 20) की धारा 2 की उपधारा ( 2 ) में विनिर्दिष्ट सभी व्यक्ति जिन पर , बंगलोर, एर्नाकुलम , हैदराबाद और मद्रास स्थित मुख्यालयों के आयकर आयुक्तों और भद्रास स्थिप्त मुख्यालय के आयकर आयुक्त ( केन्द्रीय ) की अधि- कारिता में श्राय-कर निर्धारण किया गया है या निर्धारणीय है, या जो उनकी अधिकारिता के भीतर सामान्यतया निवास करते हैं ।
