No. 48/81/75-AVD-(IV).—The President is pleased on the occasion of Re- public Day, 1976, to award an Appreciation Certificate for Specially Distin- guished Record of Service to Shri T. V. Sadagopan, presently working as Chief Enforcement Officer, under the Madras Zonal Office of the Directorate of Enforcement.

2. The award is made under Clause (a) (ii) of para 1 of the Scheme govern- ing grant of awards to the officers and staff of the Customs and Central Excise Departments, published in Part I, Section 1, of the Gazette of India Extraordi- nary Notification No. 12/139/59-Ad.IIIB, dated the 5th November, 1962, as amended from time to time.
