S.O. 90(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3)(b) of section 5

read with sub-section 01) of section 6 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956

(3 of 1956), the Central Government hereby appoints Prof. S. Gopal, Centre of Historical

Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi as Member of the University Grants

Commission for a term of three years with immediate effect.
