NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th February 1976
S.O. 144(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 8D of the Wakf Act, 1954 (29 of 1954), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules 'further to amend the Central Wakf Council Rules, 1965, namely:—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Central Wakf Council (Amendment) Rules, 1976.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In rule 8 of the Central Wakf Council Rules, 1965, for sub-rule (3), the following sub-rule shall be substituted namely:—
"(3) Where a person has been invited as a special invitee to attend any meeting of the Council or its Committee or Sub-Committee and such person attends such meeting, he may be paid travelling allowance and daily allowance at the rates admissible to a member.".
