CUSTOMS
New Delhi, the 24th March 1976
G.S.R. 249(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 '(52 of 1962), read with sub-clause (4) of clause 32 of the Finance Bill, 1976, which clause has, by virtue of the declaration 'made in the said Bill under the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1931 (16 of 1931), the force of law, the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 54-Customs, dated the 18tb March, 1976, namely;
In the said notification, in the first paragraph—
(a) after the words, brackets and figures "read with sub-section (4) of section 31 of the Finance Act, 1975 (25 of 1975)", the words, brackets and figures "and sub-clause (4) of clause 32 of the Finance Bill, 1976, which clause has; by virtue of the declaration made in the said Bill under the Pro- visional Collection of Taxes Act, 1931 (16 of 1931), the force of law" Shall be inserted;
