G.S.R. 268 ( E ) .-The following draft of certain amendments to the Board of Trustees of the Port of Madras ( Procedure at Board Meetings ) Rules , 1975 , which the Central Government proposes to make , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of Section 122 of the Major Port Trusts Act , ( 38 of 1963 ) , is hereby published as required by sub - section ( 2 ) of the said section for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of a period of 45 days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette ,
2. Any objections or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period , will be taken Into consideration by the Central Government .
Draft Amendments
1. These rules may be called the Board of Trustees of the Port of Madras (Procedure at Board Meetings ) Amendment Rules , 1976 .

2. In the Board of Trustees of the Port of Madras (Procedure at Board Meet- ings ) Rules , 1975 .
(1 ) for rule 2 , the following shall be substituted, namely:-
"2. Frequency of meetings of Board and place of meetings thereof.- ( 1 ) A meeting of the Board , other than a special meeting referred to in Rule 3. shall be held at least once in every month .
(2) The Board shall , from time to time, determine the date and time of its meeting.
(3 ) A meeting of the Board shall be held at the port premises at Madras" , (ii) for rule 8 , the following shall be substituted , namely :---
"8. Adjournment of meetings. The President of a meeting may with its con- sent , adjourn it to a later date , which date shall either be announced at the meet- ing in which case intimation would be sent to the members absent at the meeting at least three days in advance , or communicated to the Trustees at least three days before the date of the meeting" .

सा० फा ० ति० 268 (प्र) -केन्द्रीय सरकार , महाप्त्तन न्यास अधिनियम , 1963 ( 1963 का 38 ) की धारा 122 की उपधारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , मद्रास परतन ग्यासी बोर्ड ( बोर्ड के अधिवेशनों के लिए प्रक्रिया ) नियम, 1975 में कलिप्य संशोधन करना बाहुती है । जैता कि उक्त धारा की उपधारा ( 2 ) में अपेक्षित है , प्रस्तावित संशोधनों का निम्नलिखित प्रारुप उन समी व्यक्तियों की जानकारी के लिए प्रकाशित किया जा रहा है जिनके उस्से प्रभाषित ह मे की संभावना है और इसके द्वारा सूचना दी जाती है कि उक्त प्रारुप पर इस अधिसूचना के राजप्न में प्रकाशम की तारीख से 45 दिन की अवधि की समाप्ति पर या उरुके पश्चात् धिचार मिया जाएगा ।
2 . उक्त अवधि की समाप्ति से पूर्व उक्त प्रा प की बाबत जो भी प्राक्षेप या हुक्षाव विसी ध्यषित से प्राप्त होंगे , केन्द्रीय सरकार उन पर विचार करेगी ।
संशोधनों का प्रारूप
1. इन नियमों का नाम मद्रास पत्तन न्यासी बोर्ड ( बोर्ड के अधिवेशनों के लिए प्रक्रिया ) संशोधन नियम, 1976 हैं ।
2. मद्रास पत्तम ग्यासी बोर्ड ( बोर्ड के अधिवेशन के लिए प्रक्रिया ) नियम, 1976 है
( 1 ) नियम 2 के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित रखा जाएगा , अर्थात-
" 2. बोर्ड के अधिवेशों की प्रावृति घीर उनका प्रधिवेशन स्थल ( 1 ) बोर्ड का, नियम 3 में निदिष्ट विशेष अधिवेशन से भिन्न , अधिवेशन प्रत्येक मास में कम से कम एक बार होगा ।

( 2 ) बोर्ड , समय समय पर , अपने प्रधिवेशन की तारीख और रुमय का अवधारण करेगा
(3) बोर्ड का अधिवेशन मद्रास में पत्तन परिसर पर होगा । "
( ii ) नियम के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित रखा जाएगा , अर्थात :--
" 8. अधिवेदन का स्थगन अधिवेशन का सभापति , अधिवेशन के सदस्यों की सहमति से, अधिवेशन को ऐनी श्रागामी तारीख के लिए स्थगित कर रुवेगा , जो तारीख या तो अधिवेशन में घोषित की जाएगी और उन दशा में अधिवेशन में अनु स्थित सदस्यों को कम से कम तीन दिन की अग्रिम सूचना भेजी जाएगी या अधिवेशन की तारीख से कम सेवम तीन दिन पूर्व न्यातियों को ससूचित की जाएगी " ।
