New Delhi , the 6th April 1976
G.S.R. 285 ( E) . The following draft of certain amendments to the Board of Trustees of the Port of Bombay ( Procedure at Board Meetings ) Rules 1975, which the Central Government proposes to make , in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section ( 1) of section 122 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963) , is hereby published as required by sub - section ( 2) of the said section for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of a period of 45 days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette .
2. Any objections or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the said period will be taken into considera- tion by the Central Government .
Draft Amendments
1. These rules maybe called the Board of Trustees of the Port of Bambay ( Procedure at Board Meetings ) Amendment Rules , 1976.

2. In the Board of Trustees of the Port of Bombay ( Procedure at Board Meetings) Rules , 1975 .
(i) for rule 2, the following shall be SUBSTITUTED , namely :-
"Frequency of meetings of Board and place of meetings thereof-
A meeting of the Board , other than a special meeting referred to in rule 3 , shall be held at least once in every month.
(2) The Board shall from time to time determine the date and time of its meeting:
Provided that where the Board is unable to do so for any reason, the Chairman may do so , for reasons to be recorded in writing .
(3 ) A meeting of the Board shall be held in the Boards room in the Bombay Port Trust Administrative Offices Building at Bombay. "
(ii ) for rule 8 , the following shall be SUBSTITUTED , namely:
"8. Adjournment of meetings The President of a meeting may , with its consent, adjourn it to a later date , which date shall either be announced at the meeting in which case intimation would be sent to the members absent at the meeting at least three days in advance , or communicated to the Trustees at least three days before the date of the mecting . "

सा० का० मि० 285 (च) केन्द्रीय सरकार, महापत्तन न्यास श्रधिनियम, 1963 (1963 का 38 ) की धारा 122 की उपधारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, मुम्बई पत्तन न्यासी बोर्ड ( बोर्ड के अधिवेशनों के लिए प्रक्रिया ) नियम, 1975 में कतिपय संशोधन करना चाहती है । जैसा कि उक्त धारा की उपधारा ( 2 ) में अपेक्षित है, प्रस्ता- वित संशोधनों का निम्नलिखित प्रारूप उन सभी व्यक्तियों की जानकारी के लिए प्रकाशित किया जा रहा है जिनके उससे प्रभावित होने की सम्भावना है । इसके द्वारा सूचना दी जाती है कि उक्त प्रारूप पर इस अधिसूचना के राजपत्न में प्रकाशन की तारीख से 45 दिन की अवधि की समाप्ति पर या उसके पण्चात् विचार किया जाएगा ।
2. उक्त अवधि की समाप्ति से पूर्व उक्त प्रारूप की बाबत जो भी आक्षेप या सुझाव किसी व्यक्ति से प्राप्त होगे , केन्द्रीय सरकार उन पर विचार करेगी ।
संशोधनों का प्रारूप
1. इन नियमों का नाम मुम्बई पत्तन न्यासी बोर्ड ( बोर्ड के अधिवेशनों के लिए प्रक्रिया ) संशोधन नियम , 1976 है ।
2. मुम्बई पत्तन न्यासी बोर्ड (बोर्ड के अधिवेशनों के लिए प्रक्रिया ) नियम, 1975 में;

( i ) नियम 2 के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित रखा जाएगा , अर्थात् :--
" 2 बोर्ड के अधिवेशन की आवृत्ति और उनका अधिवेशन स्थल-
( 1 ) बोर्ड का , नियम 3 में निर्दिष्ट विशेष अधिवेशन से भिन्न, अधिवेशन प्रत्येक मास में कम से कम एक बार होगा ।
( 2 ) बोर्ड, समय समय पर, अपने अधिवेशन की तारीख और समय का अव- धारण करेगा :
परन्तु जहां बोर्ड किसी कारणवश ऐसा करने में असमर्थ हो, वहां , उसके लिए जो कारण हो , उन्हें लेखबद्ध करके अध्यक्ष ऐसा कर सकेगा ।
( 3 ) बोर्ड का अधिवेशन मुम्बई पत्तन न्यास प्रशासन कार्यालय भवन , मुम्बई में बोर्ड के कक्ष में होगा । "
( ii ) नियम 8 के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित रखा जाएगा , अर्थात् :-
" 8. श्रधिवेशनों का स्थगन-अधिवेशन का सभापति, अधिवेशन के सदस्यों की सहमति से , अधिवेशन को किसी ऐसी पश्चातवर्ती तारीख तक स्थगित कर सकेगा , जो तारीख या तो अधिवेशन में घोषित की जाएगी और उस दशा में अधिवेशन में अनुपस्थित सदस्यों को कम से कम तीन दिन की अग्रिम सूचना भेजी जाएगी, या अधिवेशन की तारीख से कम से कम तीन दिन पूर्व न्यासियों को ससूचित की जायगी । " ।
