ORDER
New Delhi, the 22nd July, 1976
S.O. 487(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Com- modities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to amend the Cotton Textiles (Control) Order, 1948, namely: —
1. (1) This Order may be called the Cotton Textiles (Control) Second Amendment Order, 1976.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette,
2. In clause 24 of the Cotton Textiles (Control) Order, 1948, after sub-clause ( l ), the following sub-clause shall be inserted, namely:—
"(1A) No manufacturer or dealer shall sell or offer to sell any non-controlled cloth at a price higher than the maximum retail price stamped on the cloth :
Provided that nothing in this sub-clause shall apply to non-controlled cloth sold for export under a valid export licence.".
