ORDER

New Delhi, the 26th July 1979

G.S.R. 484(E).—Ess. Com./Sugarcane.—In' exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Gov- ernment hereby makes the following Order further to amend the Sugarcane (Control) Order, 1966, namely:—

1. (1) This Order may be called the Sugarcane (Control) Amendment Order, 1976.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. In the Sugarcane (Control) Order 1966, in sub-clause (1) of clause 9A. for the words 'any person' the following words shall be substituted, namely:—

"any officer not lower than' the rank of a Police Inspector or Tahsildar or an officer of an equivalent rank." [No. 15-6/75-SPY.] S. V. SAMPATH. Jt. Secy.
