G.S.R. 780(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 and clause (5) of article 148 of the Constitution and after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India in relation to persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1973, namely:-
1. Short title and Commencement.—(i) These rules may be called the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Third Amendment Rules, 1976.
(ii) They shall be deemed to have come into force on the first day of May, 1974.
2. In the First Schedule to the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1973 in Part E, under the heading "V Ministry of Health and Family Planning" after serial number 1 and the entries relating thereto the following shall be inserted, namely:—•

The Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1973 which were promulgated to implement the recommendations made by the Third Pay Commission with respect to the pay scales of Classes I, fl. III ami IV employees of the Government, have been jjlven effect from 1st January, 1973. ORDER

G.S.B. 78l(E).—In pursuance of the proviso to sub-rule (1) of rule 2 of tbe Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules. 1973, the Central Government hereby specifies the 1st May, 1974 as the date on which the revised scales of pay, of the post included in Part E of the First Schedule to the Central Civil Services (Revised Fay) Rules. 1973, by the amendment to the said Rules made by the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Third Amendment Rules, 1976 shall come into force, and further directs that tue Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 197S. shall apply, (i) in relation to the person holding the post on the 1st May, 1974 on and from that date and (11) in relation to the person appointed to the post alter the 1st May. 1974. on and from the date of the his appointment to that post.
