NOTIFICATION
CENTRAL EXCISES
New Delhi, the 31st August, 1976
G.S.R. 784(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944 read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957 (58 of 1957), the Central Government hereby makes, with effect on and from the 6th August, 1976, the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Department of Revenue and Bank- ing (Revenue Wing) No. 226/76 [G.S.R. 757(E)] Central Excises, dated the 6th August, 1976, namely:—
In the said notification,—
(a) for the word "produced", the words, figures and letters "produced during the period commencing on the 1st day of October, 1975 and ending with the 30th day of September, 1976, and cleared" shall be substituted;
(b) the words, figures and letters "but before the 1st day of October, 1976" shall
