New Delhi , the 6th September 1976
S.R.O. 41 - E. The following draft of certain rules further to amend the Ahmednagar cantonment ( Division into Wards ) Rules , 1970 , which the Central Government proposes to make , in exercise of the powers conferred by clauses ( a ) and ( b ) of section 31 of the Cantonments Act, 1924 ( 2 of 1924 ) , for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby , and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of a period of sixty days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette .
Any objections or suggestions which may be received from any person through the General Officer Commanding- in -Chief , Southern Command , with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the said period of sixty days will be considered by the Central Govern- ment .
DRAFT RULES
1. ( 1 ) These rules may be called the Ahmednagar Cantonment ( Division into Wards ) Amendment Rules , 1976.

2. In the Ahmednagar Cantonment ( Division into Wards ) Rules , 1970
(1 ) in rule 4 ,
( i) in the entry relating to Ward No III , in the second column , the brackets and words "( Seat reserved for a member of the Scheduled Castes ) " shall be omitted;
(ii) in the entry relating to Ward No. IV in the second column , after the entry. the brackets and words " ( Seat reserved for a member of the Scheduled Castes ) " shall , be inserted;
( 2) for the Schedule , the following Schedule shall be substituted , namely :-

Boundaries of Wards
WARD NO . 1 .
The boundary starts from Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 42 at the junction of Outram Road and Harris Road and proceeds in an easterly direction along the Cantonment Boun- dary through Pillars No. 41 , 40 and 39 upto Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 38 and then runs in south-easterly direction along Boundary through Pillar No. 37, 36 & 35 upto Can- tonment Boundary Pillar No 34 situated on the right bank of Bhingar Nullah and therefrom it turns towards westerly direction along Bhingar Nullah to a point at the junction of Subhash Road and Bhingar Nullah and then turns in southerly direction across Nullah to a distance of 100 metres along with Subhash Road and then turns in westerly direction along left bank of Bhingar Nullah to its junction with K.B.K.S. Irani Road and then turns to south easterly direction K.B.K.S. Irani Road to its junction with Kitchner Road and then turns in south westerly direction along Kitchner Road at a point at the junction of Kitchner Road with Mess Road and then turns in south easterly direction along with Mess Road at its junction with Hunter Road opposite bungalow No. 1 and then in south - westerly direction along with Hunter Road to a point at its junction with Elphinston Road and then turns to south- easterly direction along with Elphinston Road at a point at its junction with Nagarwalla Road and then turns in south- westerly direction along with Nagarwalla Road to a point at its junction with Sholapur Road and crossing Sholapur Road to meet the Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 11 - B and then runs in northerly direction in a zig - zag way along Cantonment Boundary upto Bhingar Nullah through Cantonment Boundary Pillar Nos . 11, 10, 9 and 8 thereafter it crosses Bhingar Nullah and then turns along the right bank of the Nullah in north - easterly direction upto its junction with Sholapur Road and Elphinston Road crossing and then turns to north - westerly direction along Elphinston Road upto a point at its junction with Poona Road and then turns in easterly direction along Poona Road to a point at its junction with Harris Road and then in northerly direction along Harris Road to a point at its junction with Kings Road and then turns north - west direction along with Harris Road to a point at its junction with Mangal Gate Road and then turns in northerly direction along Harris Road upto its junction with Outram Road ie . the starting point.
WARD NO . II .
The Boundary starts from Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 28 which is situated at Dr. Ambedkar Road and runs in south - easterly direction along the Cantonment Boundary to Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 27 and then in southerly direction to Cantonment. Boundary Pillar No. 26-A and 26 and then turns in south- casterly direction along Canton- ment Boundary to Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 25 -A and 25 and thereafter turns in south - westerly direction along Cantonment Boundary to Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 24 and then turns in easterly direction along Cantonment Boundary upto Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 21 through Cantonment Boundary Pillar Nos . 23 , 22 - A , 22, 21 - B and 21 - A and then turns in south- easterly direction along Cantonment Boundary to Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 19 , Cantonment Boundary Pillar Nos . 20 , 19 -B , 19 - A and 19 - a . Thence it turns in north -westerly direction along Cantonment Boundary upto Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 15 through Cantonment Boundary Pillar Nos . 18 - C , 18 -B , 18-A. 18 , 17 -B . 17 - A , 17 and 16 and then turns in south- westerly direction along Cantonment Boundary to Canton- ment Boundary Pillar No. 14- A and 14 and then turns to north -westerly direction along Cantonment Boundary to Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 13 - A and 13 situated at Nagar- walla Road and then turn in north - easterly direction along Nagarwalla Road to a point at भाग 11-खं, 4

WARD NO . III .
The Boundary starts from a point at the junction of Subhash Road with Bhingar Nullah and runs in southerly direction along with Subhash Road at its junction with Kangar Galli near House No. 117 Bhingar and then turns towards easterly direction along Rangar Galli to its junction with Momin Galli and then from this point runs in south -casterly direction along Dane Galli upto North East corner of House No. 22 Bhingar and then turns along Dane Galli towards southerly direction upto south - east corner of House No. 6 Bhingar and then runs along a lane behind Cantonment Girls School in westerly direction upto south- western corner of House No. 39 Bhingar and then turns in Southern direction with Canton- ment Girls School wall upto its junction with Dr. Ambedkar Road and then turns to westerly direction along Dr. Ambedkar Road to a point at its junction with Lokmanya Tilak Road opposite S.T. pick - up shed and then along Lokmanya Tilak Road in southerly direction upto the north- west corner of House No. 304 - B Sadar Bazaar and then turns to easterly direction along northern wall of House No. 304 - B Sadar Bazaar upto North east corner of House No. 304 on Bhora Galli and then turns towards south along Bhora Galli upto south - east corner of House No. 274 - A Sadar Bazaar and then turns towards west along southern wall of House No. 274 - A to touch the Lokmanya Tilak Road and then turns in southerly direс- tion along Lokmanya Tilak Road upto its junction with K.B.K.S. Irani Road and from this point it turns towards north- westerly direction along K.B.K.S. Irani Road upto its junc- tion with Dr. Ambedkar Road and then runs in westerly direction along Dr. Ambedkar Road upto its junction with Bhingar Nullah left bank and then runs in north -easterly direc- tion along left bank of the Bhingar Nullah upto its junction with Subhash Road i.e. the starting point .
WARD NO . IV .
The Boundary starts from a point at the junction of Lokmanya Tilak Road , Dr. Ambedkar Road and Subhash Road and runs along Dr. Ambedkar Road in easterly direc- tion to its junction with Hunter Road and then turns along Hunter Road in south- westerly direction to its junction with Mess Road opposite Bungalow No. 1 and then turns towards north -westerly direction along Mess Road to its junction with Kitchner Road and then turns in northerly direction along Kitchner Road upto its junction with K.B.K.S. Irani Road and Lokmanya Tilak Road and then turns in northerly direction along Lokmanya Tilak Road to a point at the south- west corner of House No. 274 - A , Sadar Bazaar and then turns in Easterly direction along southern wall of House No. 274 -A upto its south -east corner and from this point runs along Bhora Galli in northern direction to north- easterly corner of House No. 304 - B and then turns in westerly direction along the northern wall of House No. 304- B to meet the Lokmanya Tilak Road and then turns to northerly direction along Lokmanya Tilak Road to meet the junction of Lokmanya Tilak Road i.e. the starting point .
WARD NO . V.
The Boundary starts from the Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 32-A and runs in southerly direction crossing Bhingar Nullah to a distance of 30 metres to meet the crema- tion ground road on the easterly side of Bhingar cremation ground upto a point opposite House No. 445 Bhingar and then turns to casterly direction along the lane and touches the Mahatma Gandhi Road opposite House No. 446 and then turns in southerly direction along with Mahatma Gandhi Road upto its junction with Dr. Ambedkar Road near Bhingar Gote and then turns to south - westerly direction along Dr. Ambedkar Road upto south- west corner of Cantonment Girls School and then turns in northerly direction along with Girls School wall upto South West corner of House No. 39 Bhingar and then turns to casterly direction along the lane behind the Girls School upto a point on the south- cast corner of House No. 6 Bhingar and then turns to northerly direction along with Dane Galli upto a point at north -cast corner of House No. 22 Bhingar and then turns to north- westerly direction along with Dane Galli to its junction with Rangar Galli at a point where it meets Momin Galli and then turns along with Rangar Galli upto its junction with Subhash Road and then turns to north along Subhash Road to its junction with Bhingar Nullah and then crosses the Bhingar Nullah for a distance of 100 metres to touch the right bank of Bhingar Nullah and then turns to north -easterly direction to meet the Cantonment Boundary at Cantonment Boundary through along Pillar Nos . 34 , 33 , 32- C and upto Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 32 - B towards northern direction upto Pillar No. 32 -C and then turns PART II SEC. 4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY
to northern direction along with Cantonment Boundary to Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 32- B and then in north -easterly direction along with Cantonment Boundary to mee ا the starting point i.e. Pillar No. 32-A.
WARD NO . VI .
The Boundary starts from Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 32 - A and runs in eastoriy direction along Cantonment Boundaryto Cantonment Boundary Pillar Nos . 32 , 31 - B , 31 -A . 31 , 30-B and runs in casterly direction along Cantonment Boundary to touch the M.E.S. Pumping Station Road and then runs in southerly direction along M.E.S. Pumping Station Road to its junction with Nehru Chowk Road and then turns to westerly direction along Nehru Chowk Road upto its junction with Mal Galli opposite House No. 674 and then turns in southern direction along with Mal Galli upto its junction with Lakar Galli and then to south - westerly direction along Mal Galli upto its junction with Mahatma Gandhi Road near Bhingar Gate and then in northerly direction along Mahatma Gandhi Road upte a point opposite House No. 446 , Bhingar and then turns into westerly direction along the lane upto a point near House No. 445 Bhingar and then turns northerly direction with cremation ground Road upto left Bank of Bhingar Nullah and therefrom to northerly direction crossing Bhingar Nullah 30 metres to meet the starting point .
WARD NO . VII .
Junction The Boundary starts from Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 30- A and runs along Cantonment Boundary in Southerly Direction upto Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 30 and 29 -A and then runs in South - Easterly direction along the Cantonment Boundary upto Cantonmen Boundary Pillar No. 29 and 28 - B and turns to easterly direction along Canton- ment Boundary to Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 28 -A and then turns to Southeir direction along Cantonment Boundary to its junction with Dr. Ambedkar Road at Canton- ment Boundary Pillar No. 28 and then turns in westerly direction along Dr. Ambedkar Road upto its junction with Mahatma Gandhi Road near Bhingar Gate and then turns 10 northerly directidirection along with Mahatma Gandhi Road upto a point opposite House No. 528 Bhingar touching Mal Galli and then turns to north -easterly direction along with Mal Galti in a zig -zag way to its junction with Lakkar Galli and then from this point along with Mal Galli in North-eastern direction in a zig - zag way to its junction with Nehru Chowk Road opposite House No. 1674 and then along Nehru Chowk Road runs in eastorly direc- tion upto its junction with M.E.S. Pumping Station Road and from this point it turns along M.E.S. Pumping Station Road towards North direction to a point it touches the Cantonment Boundary and then turns in a easterly direction along the Cantonment Boundary to meet the starting point i.e. Cantonment Boundary Pillar No. 30-A" :

का० नि० ग्रा० 42- है. छावनी अधिनियम, 1924 ( 1924 का 2 ) की धारा 14 की उपधारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए केन्द्रीय सरकार यह समाधान होने पर कि छावनी प्रशासन के लिए छावनी बोर्ड , सैंट थामस माऊण्ट -कम-पल्लावरम के गठन में फेरफार होना वांछनीय है, एतद्वारा तदर्थ घोषणा करती है और यह अतिरिक्त निदेश देती है कि 13 सितम्बर, 1976 से एक वर्ष की कालावधि के लिए उक्त छावनी बोर्ड के गठन में फेरफार किया हुआा रहेगा ।

S.R.O. 42- E.-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 1 ) of section 14 ut the Cantonments Act, 1924 ( 2 of 1924 ) , the Central Government , being satisfied that for the administration of the Cantonment , it is desirable to vary the constitution of the Cantor- ment Board , St. Thomas Mount- cum - Pallavaram Cantonment , hereby makes a declaration to that effect and further directs that the constitution of the said Board shall stand varied for a period of one year with effect from 13th September , 1976.

का ० मि० प्रा ० 43--छावनी अधिनियम , 1924 ( 1924 का 2 ) की बारा 14 की उपधारा ( 3 ) के अनुसरण में जिसे भारत सरकार के रक्षा मंत्रालय अधिसूचना संख्या का ० नि ० श्र ० 42-ई दिनांक 13 सितम्बर , 1976 के साथ जो कि भारत सरकार के असाधारण राजपत्र दिनांक 13 सितम्बर, 1976 को प्रकाशित हुआ था , पढ़ा जाए , केन्द्रीय सरकार एतद्वारा अधिसूचित करती है कि अधोलिखित दो व्यक्तियों को स्टेशन के आफिसर कमांडिंग स्टेशन द्वारा छावनी बोर्ड, सेंट थामस माऊण्ट-कम-पल्लावरम के सदस्य के रूप में 13 सितम्बर , 1976 से मनोनीत किया गया है:

(ख) श्री पो० डी० श्रीरुन तय मुमुत्र स्व ० जो दोरावस्थानी निवार [फाइन संध्या 29 / 7/ सो/ ११ इग्ड हो/ 75/ 2631 / डो ० ( कनू रण्ड तो) ] म ० ला ० दत्रे , संयुक्त सचिव ।
S.R.O. 43 - E.-In pursuance of sub - section ( 3 ) of section 14 of the Cantonment Act , 1924 ( 2 of 1924 ) read with the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Defence No. S.R.O. 42- E dated the 13th September , 1976 published in the Government of India, Extraordinary Gazette , Part II Section 4, dated the 13th September 1976 , the Central Government hereby notifies that the following two persons have been nominated by the Officer Commanding the Station , to be the members of the Cantonment Board , St. Thomas Mount- cum-Pallavaram with effect from 13th September 1976 :
