NOTIFICATION

FOREIGN TRAVEL TAX

New Delhi, the 18th September 1976

G.S.R. 806(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 46 of the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1971 (32 of 1971), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Reve- nue and Insurance) No. G.S.R. 1457 [7/F. 389-TR(FTT/71], dated the 1st October, 1971, namely:—

In the first paragraph of the said notification,—

(a) in the opening portion, for the words "every passenger", the words and brackets "every passenger (including a child below two years)" shall be substituted;

(b) in the proviso, for the words "Provided that", the words and brackets "Pro- vided that in relation to a passenger (not being a child below two years)" shall be substituted.
