NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 24th September 1976
G.S.R. 813(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Government Savings Banks Act, 1873 (5 of 1873), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Post Office Savings Rules, 1965, namely;—
1. (1) These Rules may be called the Post Office Savings Banks (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 1976.
(2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of October, 1976.
2. In the Post Office Savings Banks Rules, 1965, in the Table below rule 3, against item (1A) relating to "Pension Account", in the column "Who may open", for the words "A pensioner, being a retired Railway servant,", the words "A pensioner, being a retired Railway servant or a servant of the Posts and Telegraphs Department.", shall be substituted.
