ORDER
New Delhi, the 21th September, 1976
S.O. 640(E).—Whereas, the Central Government is of opinion, having regard to the smallness of the number of workers employed and to the desirability of encouraging small undertakings generally, that it would not be in the public interest to apply the provisions of sections 18-G and 25" of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), to the mini cement plant owned by the Cement Research Institute of India and situated near Kallakudi in the State of Tamil Nadu;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 29-B of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government hereby exempts the said mini cement plant from the operation of the pro- visions of the Cement Control Order, 1967, subject to the condition that any cement produced by the said mini plant should conform to the standards specified by the Indian Standards Institution for such cement.
