NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 4th October 1976
G. S. R. 831 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Passports Act 1967 (15 of 1967), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Passports Rules, 1967, namely :—
1. These rules may be called the Passports (Third Amendment) Rules, 1976. 2. In Schedule I to the Passports Rules, 1967,— (1) for S.No. 7 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. shall be substituted, namely :—
"7(a) Regional Passport Officer, Madras (Regional The States of Tamil Nadu and Passport and Emigration Officer, Madras). Karnataka and the Union Terri-
tory of Pondicherry.
(b) Assistant Passport Officer, Madras (Regional Pass- Do.
port and Emigration Office, Madras).
(c) Public Relations Officer, Madras (Regional Pass- Do."
port and Emigration Office, Madras)
(2) S. Nos. 9,10 and 11 shall be re-numbered as S. Nos. 10,11 and 12 thereof respectively, and before S. No. 10 so re-numbered, the following S. No. shall be inserted, namely :—
"9(a) Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad (Regional The State of Andhra Pradesh.
Passport Office, Hyderabad).
(b) Assistant Passport Officer, Hyderabad (Regional Do.
