SUBJECT.—Procedure for making rupee deposits to Government account by means of

demand draft in respect of import financed under the Direct Payment Procedure

as applicable to various foreign loans/credits.

No. 103-ITC(PN)/76.—Attention is invited to the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 74-lTC(PN)/74 dated the 31st May, 1974, prescribing the revised format of treasury challan to be used for making rupee deposits to Government account in respect of foreign loans/credits. Consequent lo introduction of the departmentalized system of accounting for the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs with effect from 1st October, 1976, the rupee deposits made on or after 1st October, 1976 on account of imports financed Under the direct payment procedure applicable to foreign loans/credits will be adjusted by the Controller of Aid Accounts and Audit, Ministry of Finance (Department of Eco- nomic Affairs). Accordingly against the column "Accounts Officer by whom adjustable" (Column 13 of the revised format of challan) depositors should indicate "Controller of And Accounts and Audit, Ministry of Finance (Department of Economic Affairs), United Commercial Bank Building, Parliament Sueet, New Delhi" in respect of deposits made by them on or after 1st October, 1976.
