ORDER
New Delhi, the 19th October, 1976
S.O. 683(E).--In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of "sec- tion 9 of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of l851), the Central Government hereby specifies the manufactures (other than earpet backing, hessian and jute fabrics, sacking, jute twines and yarns and cotton bagging) containing jute fifty per cent or more by weight as the class of goods manufactured or produced wholly or in part of jute in the scheduled industry of textiles on which a duty of excise shall be levied and collected as a cess at the rate of Ra. 2.00 only for the purpose of the said Act for the period commenc- ing from the 1st November 1976 up to and inclusive of the 28th February, 1977 and further makes the following amendment in the Order of the Gevernment of India in the late Ministry of Industry and Civil Supplies (Department of Indus- trial Development) No. S.O. 141(E), dated the 26th February, 1976, namely:-'
In the Table below the said Order, after serial No. 4 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be added, namely:—
