IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

New Delhi, the 4th November 1976

SUBJECT—Import of viscose/Polynesia fibre (Cellulosic Staple Fibre)—Import Policy

for the licensing period April, 1976—Match, 1977.

No. 110-ITC(PN)/76,—Attention is invited to para 4 of the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 67-ITC(PN)/76 dated the 24th July, 1976 and Public Notice No. 96-ITC(PN)/76 dated the 25th September, 1976, wherein it has been provided that licences issued for import of viscose/Polynesia fibre in terms of the aforesaid public notices will have validity upto 31st January, 1977, and no grace period will be allowed.

2. On a review of the position, it has been decided to extend the date .. goods upto 31st October, 1977. The import licences issued hereafter will have 31st October, 1977 and no grace period for the shipment of the goods will be allowed. in respect of import licences issued prior to the date of issue of this Public Notice, the validity will be deemed to have been automatically extended upto 31st October, 1977 and it will not be necessary for the licence holders to approach the licensing authorities for formal endorse- ment extending the validity period of import licences upto 31st October, 1977.
