NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 16th November 1976

S.O.736(E)/IDRA/29B/75.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 29B of the Industries (Development & Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government hereby mates the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Industrial Development (Department of Industrial Development) No. S.O. 98(E)/IDRA/29B/73/l dated the 16th February, 1973, namely:—

In the said notification, under Schedule II, in item (2), for the figures and words "50 per cent", the figures and words "40 per cent" shall be substituted.

In pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 29B of the said Act, the Central Govern- ment hereby specifies a period of six months from the date of publication of this notifi- cation in the Official Gazette as the period after the expiry of which no owner of any industrial undertaking which was previously exempted from the operation of sections 10, 11, 11A and 13 of the said Act by notification No. S.O. 98(E).IDRA/29B/73/1 dated the 16th February. 1973 and which is not so exempt by virtue of this notification, shall carry on the business of such undertaking except under and in accordance with a licence issued in this behalf by the Central Government and in the case of State Governments except under and in accordance with the previous permission of the Central Government.
