ORDER
New Delhi, the 23rd November 1976.
S.O. 750 (E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Essential Co- mmodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to amend the Copper (Prohibition of Use in the Manufacture of Electrical Cables and Wires) Order, 1970, namely :—
1. (1) This Order may be called the Copper (Prohibition of Use in the Manufacture
of Electrical Cables and Wires) Amendment Order, 1976.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Schedule to the Copper (Prohibition of Use in the Manufacture of Electrical Cables and Wires) Order, 1970 for Sl. No. 2 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely :—

"2. Bare copper strips/sections required in the Against orders placed directly on the manu-
facturers by :—
manufacture/repair of transformers, motors, generators, capacitors, rectifiers, instruments/ meters, switch-gears, switch-fuse units, circuit breakers and control gears and commutators.
