NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 1st December 1976
G.S.G. 904(E):—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (I) of section 2 of the Antiquities and Art Treasures Act, 1972 (52 of 1972), the Central Government hereby declares the following human works of art, not being antiquities, to be 'art treasures' for the purposes of the said Act, having regard to their artistic and aesthetic value, namely:—
Paintings (including drawing, sketches, diagrams and the like) and objects of plastic art by
1. Rabindranath Tagore;
2. Amrita Sher-Gll;
3. Jamini Roy; and
4. Nandalal Bose.
