NOTIFICATION

CUSTOMS

New Delhi, the 18th December 1976

G S.R. 930(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1982), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment In the notification of the Government of India in the Depart- ment of Revenue and Banking No. 306-Customs, dated the 2nd August, 1976, namely:—

In the said notification, for the words, figures and brackets "component parts of hearing and appliances, solely imported for the manufacture of such appliances falling within Chapter 90 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act", 1975 (51 of 1975)", the following shall be substituted, namely :—

"component parts, other than primary cells and primary batteries of hearing aids [being hearing aids (deaf-aids) falling under Heading No. 90.19 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975)1 imported solely for the manufacture of such aids".
