NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 21th December 1976
G.S.R. 952(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-item (1) of Item 3 of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) and rule 96-F of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments to the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 90/70-Cen- tral Excises, dated the 1st May, 1970, namely:—
In the proviso to the said notification, in clause (iii)—
(1) in condition (b), the word "and" occurring at the end shall be omitted;
(2) to condition (b), the following Explanation shall be added, namely: —
"Explanation—The expression "grower" does not include the Tamil Nadu Government Tea Project; and".
