S.O. 9(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5, read sub-sec- tion (2) of section 27, of the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (For- feiture of Property) Act, 1976 (13 of 1976), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No, SO. 41 (E) [No. 1205/F. No. 414/2/76-IT (Inv)], dated 15th January, 1976, namely —
In the Table below the said notification—
(i) in the entry in column (3) against serial No 1, tor the word "Poona",
the word "Pune" shall be substituted;
(ii) for the entry in column (3) against serial No. 3. the following entry
shall be substituted, namely —
"All persons specified in sub-section (2) of section 2 of the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property) Act, 1976 (13 of 1976) and who are assessed or are assessable to income-tax in or who ordinarily reside within, the jurisdiction of the Com- missioners of Income-tax with Headquarters at Bangalore, Coimba- tore, Ernakulam, Hyderabad and Madras and the Commissioner of Income-tax (Central) with Headquarters at Madras."
