IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

SUBJECT:—Project Exports

No. 4-ITC(PN)/77.—Attention is invited to the provision made in para Part 'B', Section I of the Import Trade Control Policy (Red Book—Vol. II) for April 1976—March 1977 published under the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 29-ITC(PN)/76 dated the 14th April, 1976, as amended by the Ministry c Commerce Public Notice No 74-ITC(PN)/76 dated the 31st July, 1976, pertaing to project exports2. It has been decided that, in respect of Project Exports, the exporter will have the option to claim import replenishment under the import policy for Registered Exporters either at the rate applicable to the exported plant as whole as covered by the project or at the rates applicable to individual item of export. This option will be available only in those cases where the, export contract indicates item wise break-up of prices in respect of individual item of plant and equipment. When there is no break-up in the contract listing Items with their prices, the exporter will be eligible to claim import replenish- ment only at the rate applicable to the plant as a whole ( 47 )
