NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi, the 24th January 1977
S.R.O 4r-E.—Whereas the Central Government by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Defence No. SRO 7-E, dated the 27th January, 1976 declared that for the administration of Poona Cantonment it was desirable to vary the constitution of Cantonment Board, Poona.
And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that for the administration of the Cantonment it is desirable to extend the term of office of the said Board by a period of one year.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub- section (4) of section 14 of the Cantonments Act, 1924 (2 of 1924), the Central Government hereby extends the term of office of the said Board by a period of one year upto and inclusive of the 26th January, 1978 or till a Board Is constituted, under section 13 of the said Act, whichever is earlier.

S.R.O. 5-E.—In pursuance of sub-section (3), read with clauses (b) and (c) of sub-section (2), of section 14 of the Cantonments Act, 1924 (2 of 1924), the Central Government hereby notifies that the following persons have been nomi- nated by the Office Commanding the Station to be the members of the Cantonment Board, Poona with effect from the 27th January, 1977 namely —
1, Lt, Col G L. GANJOO—nominated under Clause (b) of sub-section (2)
of section 14.
2. Sh. Vasanthlal Shah Son of Sakarchand—nominated under Clause (c) of
sub-section (2) of section 14.
