CENTRAL EXCISES
New Delhi, the 28th January 1977
G.S.R. 43(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Department of Revenue end Banking, No. 165/76-Central Excises, dated the 12th May, 1976, namely —
In the said notification, the following Explanation shall be inserted at the end, namely —
"Explanation.—For the purposes of this notification, 'roofing tiles' include tiles used for roofings such as ridge tiles, ventilator tiles, smoke tiles, valley tiles, sky light tiles and ceiling tiles."
